It's funny at the end when Stuart Robson comes in and totally rubbishes Hislop's nonsense.

The irony is that for every sock puppet that pops up and alludes to sacking a shit manager being for racist reasons, it makes other black managers less likely to be employed because clubs probably don't need all this sort of bad publicity just for making a correct footballing decision.

I'm disappointed they got rid of Viera, but only because he was doing such a shit job I fancied us to have more of a chance of staying up with him in place. His factory fitted suntan wasn't a part of my thinking.

Hislop said there was no football reason for his sacking, and that there are deeper issues behind this. Then he went on talk about there being no black managers and that Calum Wilson had also highlighted this.

Someone in Brighton backroom deserves some praise.

Lost their manager, Trossard, Bisouma, Cucurella and I believe White in that time and still in the hunt for Europe.

"Apparently Summary for last two transfers windows combined:"

Goes to show how much we fucked up (and Chelsea) and also how well run Arsenal are as a club, having a similar crisis of confidence a season ago.

I think the Olympics must be racist because all the white sprinters go out in the early rounds. The finals are all like an episode of Desmonds. This does not sit well with me.

Re: Patrick Viera
Palace have pragmatic owners who see the club on the slide and have acted accordingly.

They’ll get new manager bounce just in time for our visit with the insipid Moyes in charge and we have an owner who would rather stick with him and flush his fortune down the crapper than so what just about any club in the league would have down by now.

More of a laughing stock than Moyes.
Guaranteed to go down with Woy.

He couldn't motivate the team, couldn't get results, but they should have kept him.

Right.

When you look at that team, it really is shocking that he couldn't motivate them. Given the money they've spent over the last couple of seasons, he's done an awful job, and deserved the sack.

Vista’s got too much class to play the racism card. Fact was he couldn’t motivate the team and couldn’t get results and they were sliding under him. Parallels for West Ham

Wow, Shaka Hislop has actually said he got sacked because he's black.

Re: Patrick Viera
Palace weren’t wrong to get rid, so comma is wrong as usual (football isn’t for him) as their horrendous form and inability to score smacks of ineffective management and played being disillusioned. So they have to do something like most of the bottom half who are then coincidentally picking up points.

Sound familiar?

If they’re going to get fucking WOY in though then they might as well have kept Viera.

''Think Palace have made a mistake, should have stuck with him.''

Not sure about that, no wins this year and can't score, you can see why they have panicked, relegation would be a disaster for them. Just 'hoping' it would get better is not how most business people work, plus you never know what was going on behind the scenes, it's coming out now that Vieira was 'too soft' with the players.

Would be surprised if they go for Woy, surely too much of a risk to bring in that old fossil from his allotment to save them, he was woeful at Watford and took them down literally without even putting up a fight. If you are going to go for an old fella for a few months to give everyone a lift then Redknapp would probably would be a better option rather than taking the sentimental route with old Woy.

According to our owners there’s no one better than Moyes so we should expect them to make a huge financial offer to the Moyesiah and poach him from us? It’s what he says he does that will impress them … “winning”‘apparently ? 🤭
